Virginia “Ginny” Lee Arnaud (Shaw)

Ginny was born November 8, 1946 in Spokane WA to Lloyd and Marie Atkinson.  She passed away peacefully, in her home in Pasco, WA on August 21, 2018, surrounded by her family.

She was raised in Spokane, later moved to Kent WA, then Petaluma CA, and finally settling in the Tri Cities in 1982.  Ginny worked at Kaiser/Hanford from 1987-1997, then continued employment with Fluor/Hanford as Facilities Manager until she retired in 2011.  After retiring, she continued monthly fellowship with the “Kaiser Ladies” luncheons.

Ginny served as a pageant chaperone and was an active member on the Board of Directors for the Miss Tri Cities Scholarship Program for twenty-five years.  Ginny has graduated to glory in the church triumphant.  While on earth, she was a member with her husband, at Grace United Reformed Church in Kennewick WA, where Rev. Craig is the pastor.

She was a fellow traveler, with her husband Mike and friends, in the Rambling Rovers Travel Club; which included a memorable twelve day trip in 2016 to Branson MO.

Ginny was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Pat Lykins.  She is survived by her beloved husband Mike, sister Jackie Tubbs, brother George Atkinson (Patty), sons Ron Brown (Melinda) and John Shaw (Kandice), and granddaughters Devon, Gabby, and Jaelyn.  She also leaves behind best friend Vel Wright.

A private inurnment service will be held in September at Sunset Gardens in Richland WA.  We invite you to wear pink, in her honor, and attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2500 Chester Road, Richland WA  99354.
