Norma Keeney

Our precious mother, Norma Mae Keeney, went home to the Lord on September 30, 2018.  She was born in Litchfield, IL on May 27, 1925 to George & Florence Bogue. WWII brought her to Montana, where she met the love of her life, Raymond Keeney.  Together they had five children and were married 50 years.

Norma was a wonderful cook, gardener and homemaker. She was an avid baseball and football fan and truly enjoyed playing Upwords and card games. She had a grand sense of humor.

Norma is survived by her son, Jack Keeney (Susan) Great Falls, MT; her daughters:  Claudette Jones,  Cave Creek, AZ; Nannette Johnson (Bob) Henderson, NV;  Rayelene Baker (Mike)  Whitehall, MT  and Melody Hall (Bob)  Benton City, WA; 16 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren .  Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and her younger brother Richard Bogue of Hillsboro, IL.  She loved Jesus and her family.  The day she passed into glory, she exclaimed to one of the caregivers at Brookdale, “I get to go see Jesus today!”

She is preceded in death by her parents, spouse Raymond, and her brothers, Maynard, Chauncey and Leroy. ).

Her family decided to hold a celebration of Norma’s life next summer, to accommodate far away friends and family.

  • Bless her heart. We loved Norma. We saw her every week when she came to our home to Bible Study. And now she’s with Jesus and my husband, John. I’m sure he’s delighted to greet her.
