Patricia Charlene Thompson of Rio Rancho, New Mexico

PATRICIA CHARLENE THOMPSON, born in Stewartville, MN., June 21, 1941, passed away peacefully November 27,2018, after a long battle with diabetes.

At a young age, she left Richland, WA, bound to Seattle, WA, worked a few years, before moving to San Francisco. San Francisco was her home for over 50 years. Patsy worked as a legal secretary and was very active in the Arts that SF is known for. She attended every play she could by volunteering as an usher. Her talents were many, but her passion was reading. She collected books, using some as a coffee table, as she never wanted to let them go.  She relocated to Dallas, TX, to be near her son and daughter-in-law, Rob & Elizabeth DeGroot, and 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, and recently to Rio Rancho, NM, to an assisted living facility, which also took her closer to her sister Sally and her family.

She was preceded in death by her sister’s Lois Neble, Donna Jackson, Geraldine Parsons, and her parents Otis and Violet Thompson. She leaves numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly, and many special friends. Her fierce love, of family will be remembered by all.

Survivors include her twin brother, Patrick Charles, and his wife, Marcia (Bird) of Scottsdale, AZ, and sister, Sally Housley, of Rio Rancho, NM

The family will conform to her wishes of no funeral, but perhaps a memorial gathering in 2019.

Her final resting place will be with family at Einan’s, Sunset Memorial Gardens, Richland, WA.
