Charlene Parker

Charlene D.
Parker, 83 of Kennewick, WA passed away on January 14, 2019 in her home. She
was born in The Dalles, Oregon to Clifford and Charlotte Jackson.

Charlene’s family
moved a lot in her early years, because of this she learned how to make and
keep friends. She loved to ride her bike and also loved to roller skate, sometimes
she would ride her bike with her skates on at the same time. She was asked if
she ever rebelled as a teenager and she replied, “I’ve always tried to do what
my folks said and to this day it’s still one of my bad habits.”

Charlene met Cleve
in church when she was 17 and he was 18. She always said that she knew the
moment they met that they were soul mates. They married two years later and spent
the next 64 years truly in love.

She was so proud
of her children and being able to stay home to raise them. She enjoyed selling
real estate while living in Canada. Charlene began working for Ben Franklin
Transit after moving to the Tri-Cities and stayed until she retired. She loved
to travel; she would joke that she must have gypsy blood because she would
barely get home before planning the next adventure.

Charlene is
survived by her husband, Maynard “Cleve” Parker; daughter, Victoria K. Clark;
daughter, Rochelle D. Jager (Shelley) and son, Gregory C. Parker (Greg). She is
also survived by her 6 grandchildren: Owen, Cameron, Robin, Jason, Nicholas and
Cheryl; and her 10 great-grandchildren: Jackson, Evelyn, Anna, Aden, Charlie,
Cylus, Austin, Jayden, Garrett and Logan.

She was preceded
in death by her father, Clifford B. Jackson and her mother, Charlotte A.
Jackson.

“I walk with my
God, even though I seldom voice my faith. He is beside me whenever I call and I
have placed my life in his hands. I am at peace in my faith for whatever life
has in store for me.”
