Grace Rebecca Halverson passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on May 5, 2019, at the age of 89, at her home in Richland, Washington with family around her.  Grace was born Grace Rebecca Moe to Alfred and Ruth Moe, May 13, 1929, in Arcadia, California.

Grace grew up in a strong Christian home with her parents and her maternal grandparents.  They lived in Arcadia in a home on a large lot with dogs, cats, a cow, chickens, and fruit trees.  Grace learned to play the piano as a child.  She used to enjoy taking the street car into Los Angeles with her grandmother to shop.  Her family’s faith in Jesus Christ took root in Grace. It was that personal relationship with Jesus that was a source of peace and strength throughout her life and in her final days.

Grace grew up next door to the Halverson family and married Cliff Halverson in 1948.  Cliff passed away in 2005 after 56 years of marriage.  Cliff and Grace raised three children, Sharon, Shirley, and Jack, in Downey, California.  Their family is characterized by kindness and consideration for each other.  These qualities live on in her children and their descendants.

After retirement, Cliff and Grace moved to the Tri-Cities, Washington, in 1991 and bought a home in Richland.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Ruth Moe, husband, Clifford Halverson, and sister, Gladys Robbins.  She is survived by her sister, Carolyn (and James) Cromwell, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, daughter, Sharon Halverson, of Richland, Washington, daughter Shirley (and Richard) Sexton, of West Richland, Washington, son Jack (and DeAnn) Halverson, of West Richland, Washington, 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Grace is remembered for her sweet disposition, her love for her family and friends, and her faith in Jesus.
