Jose Noe Aguilar

Jose Noe Aguilar, 24, of Benton City, WA passed away on November 24, 2019 after a long, hard fought battle with lymphatic cancer.

Jose was born on July 31, 1995 in Daly City, CA to J. Noe and Mayra (Sanchez) Aguilar. He spent the first 12 years of his life in California before moving to the Tri-City area. Growing up Jose loved singing in the church choir and playing his trumpet in the marching band. He grew up riding horses with his father. Christmas was one of his favorite holidays. He loved all the lights! Jose graduated from Chiawana High School in 2014 and spent some time at Columbia Basin Collage where he participated in Free Form Jazz Band. Jose had a passion for music and loved the time he spent with his Free Form friends.

Jose met the love of his life Elianna Chacon in 2013. They met in their church orchestra. He played the trumpet and she played the flute. In 2016 they got married and in 2018 they became proud parents to Nathanael  Aguilar. Jose loved being a father. Cancer never defined him. He made waking up each day with a grateful heart a priority and he lived each day to the fullest.

Although Jose had an unexplainable love for his wife, son and family he was also a major sports guy. Baseball was his jam. He was a Giants fan all the way. When it comes to football, he was a loyal fan to the San Francisco 49ers.  He loved his favorite TV shows also. His top favorite was The Office. His family thinks it was because of his loving personality and great sense of humor. He loved to laugh and joke around with his friends.

Jose loved to cook too. The grill was his best friend. He was the BBQ master…except for that one time when the chicken…and the grill caught on fire! Jose was proud to be an American, loved his wife deeply and his proudest accomplishment was his son Nathanael.

A Celebration of Jose’s Life will take place on Friday, December  6, 2019 at Einan’s at Sunset Funeral Home (915 Bypass Highway, Richland) at 1:00 pm.

The family would like to thank Jose’s Tri-Cities Cancer Center, Kadlec Regional Medical Center and The University of Washington Medical Center for their genuine care and support throughout this unimaginable time.

Jose, we love you!  We will remember your strength, bravery and fun-loving sense of humor forever. In your honor, we will live life to the fullest each and every day. We will keep our grilling practice strong and promise to always make time for music and laughter.

In the words of Michael Scott “Love is the water of life, drink deeply”.
