  • Susie and Barbara, my deepest condolences on the loss of your father. We lost our dad in 2015 and mom in 2019. As kids you don’t remember much about your neighborhood friends’ parents but I remember you two and the time we thought we were helping your dad paint the garage by using the brushes he had soaking in turpentine that looked like paint. We also painted our wagon. Boy did we get in trouble because I got it all over my new coat. But lots of great times on Basswood in the 60’s. I found an old photo of one Karin’s birthday parties with you two. Love to send it to you.

  • I have fond memories of Mr. Knight…..he helped me to really enjoy music as nd also became a friend to me…..he was my teacher during the years 1966-1968 … I also became a family friend as I babysat his kids……saw him years later as he was Produce Manager of a local grocery store…..always chatted wh e n we saw each other and he would fill me in on his kids and family….he was truly a great m a n and I’m sure his family will miss him….my thoughts and prayers are with his family at this tome……..Elaine (Tesky) Hawkins
