Linda (Lynn) Dianne (Allen) Lowe

July 12, 1945 – December 15, 2020

The gates of heaven opened for our beloved wife, mother and grandmother Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at Kadlec Regional Medical Center, Richland, WA due to congestive heart failure.  Lynn was born in Baton Rouge, LA, July 12, 1945 and is survived by husband, Alan, son Stephen (Steve) and daughter-in-law Brianne, grandchildren, Harper and Kiernan (“K-K”) and Gunnar all of Tishomingo, OK; brother Phillip (Angel) Allen, Shreveport, LA; sister Sue Juneau, Pineville, LA; brother-in-law Edward (Sheila) Lowe, Ethel, LA, Richard (Dollie) Lowe, Hoquium, WA, sister-in-law Vicky (Jim) Massey, Richland, WA, numerous nieces and nephews in Louisiana, Texas and Washington. Lynn is preceded in death by son Neil Edward Lowe; parents Robert and Delma (Carver) Allen, Baton Rouge, LA; in-laws George A. and Betty (Post) Lowe, Richland, WA; Brother Edward Allen, Baton Rouge, LA and Sister Martha Allen, Baton Rouge, LA. Lynn attended schools in Baton Rouge graduating from Istrouma High School.  Lynn attended Louisiana State University for a year before going to work for the State of Louisiana. Lynn and Alan met in 1970 and married July 15, 1971. They would have celebrated 50 years of marriage next July,2021.  Their union gave them Neil and Steve.  Neil was born disabled and Lynn became Neil’s primary care giver for nearly his entire life.  Being team mother and loudest cheerleader for Steve’s teams was also something she enjoyed dearly.

Lynn’s legacy will be the strength and dedication to her sons.  She was an amazing mother and caregiver.  Raising a disabled child through adulthood is not an easy task and Lynn did it with compassion, warmth, and strength.  She did this while supporting Steve through all his sports.  It did not matter the weather or location she was there from little league baseball, youth basketball all the way through his coaching baseball in high school to coaching women’s college basketball. After Lynn’s open-heart surgery, July of 2019 she never fully regained her health but pushed on as best she could.  I and many family and friends will always remember Lynn for her faith, strength, and love for others all the way to the end.  While our hearts break it is a blessing to us that Lynn made her own decisions to the end and is now with her beloved Neil and God in Heaven.

My dear wife, best friend, and mother I will miss you so much and look forward to our union again, in Heaven.  I Love You.

A graveside service will be held December 19, 2020, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Richland, WA.

My deepest condolence to you and your family during this difficult time. Although I met Lynn through some of your friends, I immediately knew she was a great person. I will remember our trips to Prosser to Sister to Sister, Farmers market and lunches. She was a pleasure to be around.
