James Edward Haney

Born January 20, 1937 in Arco, ID to Nettie Dahle Haney and Leland Monroe Haney.  He was the second of seven children, four boys and three girls.  They were raised in Moore, ID where Jim went to elementary school.  When he was high school age, he was bussed to Arco, 10 miles away.

He worked at the AEC installation in the Arco desert for several years as an Ironworker Welder. He married Joyce Davis on Feb 6, 1959 in Arco.  They moved to the Tri-Cities In 1960 to work for Kaiser Engineers.  They had three children here, Terri Jo Haney Quinn, Robin Lorell Haney and Todd James Haney, two grand children, Holly Ann Haney and Tyler Davis Haney and one great-grandson, Jonah Edwin Olson.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Nettie and Leland Haney and brothers Forest and Ron Haney. He is survived by his wife Joyce, daughters Terri Haney Quinn, Robin Haney and son, Todd Haney, grandchildren Holly Haney (Kyle Olson), Tyler Haney (Stacy Pendleton) and great-grandson Jonah Olson, brother Grant Haney (Janice), sisters Meridel Graves (chuck), Charlotte Wall (Max) and Kerry Burt (Larry) and sister-in-law Angie DeNoo and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Services to be held Wednesday, June 9, 10:00 a.m.  at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Road 24 in Pasco, WA.  Internment at Desert Lawn in Richland
