Kennewick, Washington – With heavy hearts, the Family of Janet Martha
Shymatta, announce her passing on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Janet was 83 years of age and born in Butler, Pennsylvania on August 23rd, 1938. Daughter of the late Elmer J. and Virginia B. Depew, and cherished sister of Jimmy, Bobby, Billy (2010) and Al Depew. Beloved wife of 57 years to her surviving husband, Robert Shymatta, they married in June of 1964. Survived by, and Loving Mother to, her Children Brian, David, and Shari and four Grandchildren Jackie, David Luke, Lauren and Timothy. Janet will be remembered for her love, kindness, grace, strength, and devotion to her family. A strong woman of God, an amazing Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, and friend that was always serving others, giving of herself without hesitation. We love you Mom and are forever grateful. You will always remain in our hearts and minds.
Janet’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, 9/25/21, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Einan’s at Sunset in Richland, WA with a graveside service to follow in the Garden of Prayer. Flowers and/or memorial contributions are equally welcome. Flowers can be sent to Einan’s, condolences and fond memories shared at www.sunsetgardenstricities.com/obituaries/.
