Anna Regimbal

Anna “Nana” Regimbal, age 81, passed away in her sleep on Wednesday October 6th, 2021 at her home in Richland, Washington.

She was born to Alvin and Nellie Aosved in Lewiston, ID. Anna graduated from McMinnville High School in McMinnville, OR in 1957. Following high school, Anna worked in a secretarial office manager role for a medical company. She married the love of her life, Vincent “Gene” Regimbal, on July 15th, 1961. Over the next 60 years, Anna and Gene would host holiday gatherings with the family they started together. Gatherings at “Nana and Papa’s” would grow larger and larger over the years due to Anna’s compassionate, loving, welcoming, accepting, and generous spirit that shined so brightly, touching so many people.

Every holiday was celebrated with Nana’s homemade cards sent to every child, grandchild, great grandchild, as well her brothers, nieces, nephews, and their significant others. Her home would be decorated in festive holiday décor and there would always be candy or baked goods to celebrate when visitors stopped by. Spud Nuts and hot apple cider were favorites on Halloween, a house full of family and food for celebrating Thanksgiving, and stockings for every grandchild, significant other, and great grandchild at Christmas (after a competitive White Elephant gift exchange). These were things that the family looked forward to all year.

Anna loved the Lord and had many interests, such as reading (especially murder mysteries), camping, crafting, cooking, baking, doing crossword puzzles, listening to music, and going for drives. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. Anna’s family will treasure the endless memories of her, such as smelling her perfume (Chanel N°5) during a tight hug, reminiscing with her about family trips together, and so much more.

Anna made an impact on countless people. Anyone and everyone felt welcome, heard, important, and understood when talking with Anna. Her family includes so many “extras” due to her acceptance, warmth, and love.

Anna is survived by her husband, Gene; daughter, Jeanne Ann Zorich (Pat); son, Marc Regimbal (Monica); son-in-law, Tim Doyea (Pam); brothers, Alvin Aosved (Carolanne) and Arnold Aosved; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Nellie Aosved; daughters, Mary Doyea and Lynne LePage; and son-in-law, David LePage.

  • Written words cannot express the loss of this wonderful woman. Her love showered over all who were in her presence. She will be missed, but leaves a legacy that will endure for many years. To know her was to love her.
