Betty “Claree” Brown

Claree Brown was born in Oasis, Utah on April 14, 1933 to Stanford and Faye Huff. Claree passed away peacefully at Desert Wind Gardens, with her three daughters by her side on October 24, 2021 at the age of 88.

Claree spent her childhood years in Utah, then moved to Richland, WA where she graduated from RHS. Never one for idleness, a job opportunity soon took her to Oakridge, Oregon. This is where she met the love of her life, Keith Brown, at a local dance. Claree was crowned “Queen of the Ball” that night, but forever remained Queen of Keith’s heart.

Spending the majority of her life in Kennewick, WA, she retired as the head cook at Kamiakin High School. Claree enjoyed traveling, camping, watching all sporting events and loved to dance! But most of all, this wonderful matriarch loved spending time with her family.

Claree is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Keith Brown. She is survived by her three daughters, Debi Kerley, Nadine Hendrickson and husband Paul, Tammy Smith and husband Jeff, sister Joyce Crace, grandchildren Justin, Joel, Jacob, Stefanie, Natalie, Stacey, and Emily, and 8 great grandchildren.

A service will be held at Einan’s Funeral Home on Saturday November 6th at 2:00 pm.
