To Our Family and Friends

It is with a heavy heart and sadness that I have to let you know that Mom/MJ left us on the 29th of March to be with Dad. For several years now Lee and I have been caring for Mom/MJ. When she arrived after Dad passed, she had the onset of Dementia. For several years we adjusted and coped as Alzheimer’s Disease slowly took her. Two years ago, we had to move her into a wonderful home, Desert Wind Gardens Adult Family home that had 24-hour care for her as she became bed bound and unable to do the simplest things.

The caregivers and staff that took care of Mom, loved her dearly and took such wonderful care of her. We set up Mom’s/MJ’s room like she had her sitting room at our home and got her Fresh Flowers weekly as you all know she loved any and all flowers and pets. Mom loved the people there also which is a plus. Mom/MJ still enjoyed watching her TV shows (Hogans Heroes, Hallmark Channel, and any and all Musical Movies) Laughing/ and always had a smile on her face and visiting and all things purple and most of all listening to Frank Sinatra (she had a CD player in her room that played day and night, My Way her favorite song was playing when she passed.)

Mom/MJ was truly loved and will be truly missed

Our prayers are that while you can please reach out and touch someone and spread the love that Mom had and spread in her life. We feel totally blessed to have had Mom in our life.

Take Care To One and All

Kathy and Lee Schmitt

  • Thank you for letting me know your Moter had passed. I often thought of her . I so enjoyed her humor and the times we got together. She had such great stories and was always in such a cheerful mood. I wish I could have known her when we were both younger.!
