Lahoma “Granny” Josephine Koehler

Lahoma (Granny) Josephine Koehler, born May 9, 1924 in Hawthorne, California to George and Hazel True died on July 6, 2022 in Richland, Washington at the age of 98.

Lahoma married Bud (Pa) Koehler on June 6, 1941. Together they had two daughters, Ruby Morton Hill (Son deceased, Jim Morton, daughter Andrea Finley (Jeff) and son Tom Morton (Lana) and Dodie Gregory (daughter Renae Foster (Jack), son Brad Victry (Kristin) and son-in-law James Martin). She has eleven great-grandchildren, Tara, Jeremy, Kyle, Tristan, Katie, Anna, Jake, Ben, Morgan, Gina, and Whitney, along with fourteen great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild.

She devoted her life and love to family and extended family. All were included in her circle. She loved volunteering with the Kadlec Auxiliary for many years and enjoyed traveling abroad. She was a lifelong member of the RLDS/Community of Christ Church. She now rests in God’s hands peacefully.

  • I remember dear Lahoma as a quiet, sweet, kind and gentle person. She leaves a wonderful legacy in her daughters who through her nurture became valuable citizens of their community. A love of family and God, Humor, kindness and passionate personalities are notable traits in this family which are her legacy. Thank you Lahoma! Rest in peace.
