Dorothy Belle Ortolf

Dorothy Belle Ortolf was born in Selah, WA on June 7, 1927 (child 11 of 12).  She passed away peacefully at her Bonaventure home in Richland, WA on November 27, 2022 at 95.
She grew up and attended school in Toppenish, WA where she meant the love of her life, Paul Ortolf. She graduated in 1945 followed by college at WSU. Paul and Dorothy were married in 1947. Dorothy was an accountant and owned City Hardware and Plumbing with Paul prior to retiring from Graham Morris in 1989. Dorothy was a skilled seamstress, enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing bridge and was an avid golfer winning 7 club championships at Mount Adams Country Club in Toppenish, WA. She and Paul spent 30+ years as snowbirds at Happy Trails Resort in Surprise, AZ where she made a hole-in-one. She continued to play golf until the age of 91!
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Emery and Amy Stephens, husband Paul Ortolf, 4 brothers, 6 sisters, and son-in-law Rick Noonan.
She is survived by her brother, Bill Stephens, Spring Branch, TX. Her 4 children, Kathy Ortolf, Yakima, WA, Tom (Laurie) Ortolf, Littleton, CO, Sue (Steve) McConnell, Richland, WA, Jane Noonan, Phoenix, AZ.
13 grandchildren, Sarah Ortolf Diessner, Sage (Alex) Penkin, Slate Diessner, Paul (Mollie) Ortolf, Meaghan (Joe) Blevins, Riley Ortolf, Adam Ortolf, Jennifer (Kyle) Wright, Ryan (Jennifer) Helms, Steve Noonan, Paul (Heather) Noonan, Patrick (Christie) McConnell, Katie McConnell.
15 great grandchildren, KJ, Kellen, Danica, Drew, Trip, Campbell Grace, Miles, Oliver, Dorothy, Beau, Jackson, Madilyn, Leo, Sutton, Miriam.
A private ceremony will be held by the family.
