Grandma Steel,
I miss you and I want to thank you for your sacrifices, your care and concern, your love, the prayers and everything that you have done for me.
I thank you for all the school clothes you bought for me, the breakfast and coffee you made for me. I will never forget when you literally carried me to the doctor when I broke my hip in the 6th grade and after weeks of being miss diagnosed in pain. You were the one that listened to me and came to my aid. Most of all I am grateful for all the prayers you’ve prayed for me and my family over the years. You’re a prayer warrior and taught me how to win the battle on my knees in prayer. One of my favorite memories is when I told you I was going to fulfill my life dream and become a flight nurse. I asked you what you thought. You paused and said “well I think that could be dangerous but the training you will receive will be something that no one could ever take from me and because of that I give you my blessing.”
I will be forever grateful for the legacy, the strength, the tenacity you instilled in me. I am thankful that God picked you to be my ‘grandmother’. I look forward to when we reunite in heaven where there is no pain or tears but simply love and joy because you shared Jesus with me and our family.
