Alyssa Ann Longwell
Alyssa was taken from her family and friends on Saturday January 21st, 2023 in Douglas County, WA.
Alyssa was born on April 15, 1985, in Kennewick, Washington. She graduated from Rivers Edge High School in Richland, Washington. Alyssa had a huge heart and beautiful smile. She loved her family, friends, and her son Tyson dearly.
Alyssa loved her son Tyson so much. He was the light of her life, and she was very proud of the wonderful young man he was becoming. They loved to play video games together, go to the movies, and just hang out.
Alyssa and her blue Pittie Rein were an inseparable pair. She was her emotional support dog, and she rarely went anywhere without her.
Alyssa loved hiking with Rein, camping, kayaking, rafting on the Yakima, riding horses, going to the movies, and walking on the beach while visiting the oceanside. She enjoyed arts and crafts like crocheting, making pop sockets, doing puzzles, recently got into diamond art. She was known for decorating her home for every holiday. She loved to clean and organize, as many of her friends can attest to. Alyssa loved to cook and bake. She would much rather stay home and create a meal than go out to eat. Creating cupcakes was a great passion and she always dreamed of being a pastry chef. She enjoyed auto-cross racing and made a career for herself in the auto parts industry.
She is survived by her son, Tyson Turner (West Richland), Mother and Stepfather Brooke and David Lanigan (West Richland), Father Phillip Longwell (Finley), brother Blaine Longwell (Richland) sister Lacy Darling (Portland, OR), and nephew Devin Gilmour (Newberg, OR). Aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Einan’s (Event Center) Events At Sunset on Sunday March 26th at 2pm at 915 Bypass Hwy Richland, WA 99352 Flowers may be sent to Events At Sunset (Einan’s)
We met Alyssa while racing. She was always kind, met us with a smile and supportive of our racing family. We are truly sorry to her family and friends that are experiencing her absence. Our most sincere condolences.
Really enjoyed learning more about Alyssa from this well written obit! I didn’t know her well, but I know she was instantly likeable, cute as a bug, and loved by her family! Such a great loss! In my thoughts and prayers!
Always

Alyssa will be missed dearly in the automotive industry here in the Tri-Cities, she was always highly spoken of being an asset to any team she was apart of. I personally did not keep up enough with her or Lacy as we got older really only FB stocking lol, but we did communicate from time to time on that platform and I do believe she is in a better place now than any of us . If there is anything I may be able to help with please don’t hesitate. Lelandhill@live.com 509-387-1459
May the raindrops fall lightly on your brow.
May soft winds freshen your spirit.
May the sunshine brighten your heart.
May the burdens of the day rest lightly on your shoulders.
And may God enfold you in the mantle of His love.
OLD GAELIC BLESSING
The loss of a child is inconceivable, absolutely heart wrenching. While no words could possibly convey my deep sorrow, Alyssa’s beautiful heart will alway be a part of yours. My love to you and all who had the pleasure of loving your precious daughter. Love, Karla and Justine
