Charles “Chuck” Calvin Beaver
On the late afternoon of January 18, 2023 Chuck passed away peacefully while being attended to by his exceptionally caring staff member at the Edgewood Country Retreat Adult Family facility in Edgewood Washington. Chuck was 77 years old.
Chuck was born in McDonald County, MO on June 5, 1945. He was the fourth child, and the second son, of Paul and Helen Beaver.
Chuck grew up in Benton City then later moved to Pasco. It was during this time that he met his lifelong friends, Tim, Melanie, Frank, Mike, Eddie and Jim.
Chuck served in the US Navy (submarine duty) from 1963-1967. He attended WSU and graduated with a BA in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He opened, operated and managed numerous restaurants in CA, OR and WA during his working career.
Chuck loved to fish, read, play pool, BBQ, mow the pasture on his riding lawn mower, and his kids and grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Helen Beaver, his sister, Phyllis Fairbanks and his brother, Bob Beaver.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Lisa R., sons Paul Beaver II and Charles Beaver II, son Lance (Lisa E.) Beaver and daughter Jodelle (Time) Groves from a previous marriage, his sisters Margie (Jim) Deardorff, Sheila Taylor, brother Dan (Julie) Beaver, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Military service is scheduled for March 25th at Mueller’s Funeral Home. A celebration of life ceremony will follow elsewhere.
Special thanks to Tim and Melanie Alongi, Frank Dutton, Crystal Percifield and staff at Einan’s Funeral Home, Rachel at Mueller’s Funeral Home and Brother-in-Law Jim Deardorff. Also, Aunt Hazel Maples, Sister-in-Law, Margie Deardorff, sisters, Dawn Poree and Nora Iverson for all the times you guys were there to lend me an ear.
Lastly, a very special heartfelt thanks to a dear lady, Cora Castor (Amy & Lorna) for her (their) extraordinary services and care all throughout Chuck’s stay at the facility.
