Clyde Vance Freeman
Clyde Vance Freeman – June 24, 1924, to June 28, 2023, Walla Walla, WA. Clyde V. Freeman passed away on June 28, 2023. Clyde was born in Minneapolis, KS, to Vance William and Grace Ester Freeman and as a young child moved to Sunnyside, WA with his family. After high school, he joined the U. S. Army and was in the Calvary division in WW2. He was employed by Hanford and worked for many years until his retirement with United Nuclear Industries as an Instrument Electrical Supervisor. He met and married Betty Ruth Bundrant on October 11, 1952, until her death on May 25, 1980. Four years later Clyde met Leotis Mae Sisco and later that year was married to her.
Clyde loved sports of all kinds, especially baseball, golfing, and football as well as fishing, woodworking, and camping with his family. He loved the mountains and the family’s place up in High Valley at Packwood, WA. He enjoyed spending quality time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his brother, Bernard Freeman of Richland, daughters Patricia Elizabeth Freeman Mattocks – Milton-Freewater, Oregon, Lynda Kay Freeman Taylor – Newport, Washington, stepchildren Vicki Cowen (Bill), Dan Sisco (Karen), Sharon Gunn (deceased) (Sherrill), Terri Castellano (Chris).
Grandchildren (Patricia) Noah Z. Rash, Lance Rash, and Ashley Rash.
Great grandchildren-(Patricia) Callum, Tye, Elsie, Miles, Kariah, Zoey, Alexandria, Vance, Yahrexa, Alanna, Neveah, Esteban, and Emilio.
(Lynda) Patrick L. Freeman, Travis P. Phelan, and Kellie P. Pakootas.
Great grandchildren – Alex, Gracie Lou, Addalee, Jackson, Stetson, and Cooper.
The step-grandchildren are Rachele, Renae, Paul, Skyla, Amy, and Megan. Clyde has numerous great-grandchildren as well.
Clyde was proceeded in death by his three brothers, Donald, Elmore and Gayle Freeman and his great granddaughter Zora.
A memorial to celebrate Clyde’s life will be held at Einan’s At Sunset Funeral Home, 915 Bypass Hwy, Bldg. H., Richland, WA, on July 13, 2023 at 12:00pm.
