Peggy A. Nelson
Peggy Arlene Nelson, 86, of Richland, WA went to be with her Lord, God on July 22, 2023. She was predeceased by her parents, Willard “Bill” nelson and Beth Nelson of Richland, WA. She left behind her five children and their spouses: Deborah Clark, her two children and seven grandchildren; Laurie Connolly, her three children,10 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren; DeAnna and Nat Olvera-DeLaRosa, her two children and one grandchild; Mark DeLaRosa, his four children and 11 grandchildren; lastly, Joel and Carrie DeLaRosa, their five children and 13 grandchildren.
Peggy/mom/grandma/great grandma/great great grandma will be missed dearly. She was so sweet, funny and smart! As an author, she published two books and wrote ideas for others, however, she never got to finish them. Some of her favorite writings were poems. As a deep thinker her poems reflected those thoughts. Did I mention she loved to read! She could read a novel a day if it weren’t for us kids bugging her after school. her book collection was so large it extended into the garage! She also received two informal degrees by helping her grandchildren achieve their goals. Oh, and every once in a while, when she hears Bob Segar on the radio, she would turn it up as loud as it went. She couldn’t help herself. Mom was a true and proud patriot who loved her country. Her whole life was centered around God and family.
You will always be in our hearts. We miss you already. Rest in peace
Until we meet again. God is with you.
Although I didn’t know Peggy I did meet her while shopping. I saw her and heard her voice. I walked up to her and asked if she had a daughter Deanna. As soon as she smiled I knew she did. Such a lovely lady with such loving eyes. Deanna is a special friend who’s love of her mom was reflected back to her in the eyes of the special woman I met that day. Rest in peace Peggy.
