Barbara Joann Clark

Barbara Clark went home to be with the lord peacefully in her sleep on August 29th, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Barbara, who was known by her middle name “Joann”, grew up on her family farm in Toronto, Ohio with her two siblings June and Bobby. She practiced the violin from a very early age, all the way through high school; where she received a full ride scholarship to Juilliard. She was also begged to sing at every high school event; she had a beautiful voice that she loved to keep hidden from others as well as a beautiful smile. Joann and her husband relocated to the tri-cities as Robert worked as an iron-worker. She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her. Barbara is survived by her 3 daughters and 1 son: Lisa Seward (Louisiana), Victoria Thompson (Ohio), Bobbi Anthony (Washington), Daniel Clark (Ohio); her grandchildren: Megan, Jennifer, Rob Jr., Caleb, Jeff, Emily, Dalton, Jaime, Chris, Joel, Aundrea and Danielle; and her 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother & father: Gladys Snyder and Elmer Snyder, her husband of 54 years: Robert Clark and her son Robert B. Clark. Joann loved the lord with all her heart and read her bible every day. Her favorite saying “God Love It”. Her favorite verse was Isaiah 40:31.

  • Joann was such a wonderful lady. I will forever be thankful for the loving relationship she and I shared over the last 30 years. She was a amazing mother to her children as well as her grandchildren. Because of Bobbi,Dalton and Emily she was a part of our extended family and we will miss her. Sending love to Bobbi, Lisa, Vickie, Danny as well as all her grandchildren as they mourn the loss of such a kind and loving woman.
