Patricia Lemler
Patricia Marie (O’Bryen) Lemler died on August 17, 2023, at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, WA.
Patricia was born on July 31, 1934, the second if seven daughters to Barbara (Ruger) and Cyril O’Bryen in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Pat’s early years were spent in St. Paul and at Gooseberry Falls State Park where her father was an engineering instructor at the CCC Camp there. When World War II began, the camp was dismantled, and the family moved back to St. Paul for the duration.
In 1946 they moved to Cohasset and later, to Grand Rapids in northern Minnesota.
Also, in 1946 at the tender age of 12, Pat met and was immediately smitten with Daniel Lemler and they were inseparable ever after. Pat and Dan became engaged on her high school graduation day, May 29, 1952, and married six months later on November29, 1952.
The young Lemlers moved to Spokane and then Richland, Washington, with their baby son Michael, in 1954. Daughters Catherine and Kelly Followed in 1956 and 1958.
Pat worked 20 years at Hanford for several contractors until 1975, when she left to be employed at Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 598 and later with Hanford Atomic Metal Trades Council, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed her many friends and associates made during those years.
Pat and Dan loved the good times they had raising their family. They spent many happy years camping, boating and traveling on weekends and their annual vacations. They had 16 wonderful retirement years until Dan’s passing in 2006.
Pat’s greatest joy was her husband, children, and grandchildren (including great-grandchildren in later years). She was so proud of their many accomplishments and successes. She was a frequent spectator at their events. They enjoyed the special Christmas gifts that were often hand made over the years.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, two nephews, mother and father-in-law, brothers and sisters-in-law, friends Bette and Ron Beckman, and by her Danny, the man she loved for almost every day of her life. May they now be together forever.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Kenya) Lemler, daughters Catherine (DeVerne) Dunnum (with whom she lived) and Kelly (Rick) Swallow, grandchildren Aaron (Crystal) Dunnom, Jayme (Rob) Brackett, Tara (Kenny) Lindley, Troy (Rosie) Swallow, Justin (Megan) Swallow, Tai (Justin) Clary, Hayley (Bryan) DeShaw, Brad Millward, Michael Gallagher, Autum Gallagher, Wade Kable, and 23 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Phyllis Stayner, Collette Hinote, Mary (Jim) Ward, sister-in-law, Donnarae (Lemler) Smith, very special nieces and nephews and special friends.

Cathy and Deverne, we are so sorry to hear about Pat’s passing. We’ve been on the coast with no wi-fi, so only saw today in TC Herald. she was such a sweet lady, and we are missing her.
So very sorry for your loss, Kelly.
Love and miss her
Love and miss you. Always had a smile for everyone.
Kelly, sincere condolences to you and your family on the passing of your mother. May God watch over you as you celebrate her life. Grace and peace to you all,
A beautiful lady, inside and out! I worked with Pat in the HAMTC building for many years. You couldn’t ask for a more pleasant and dedicated person to work around. I remember well of Dan coming to the office to take Pat to lunch after he had retired and she worked part time. They were the most endearing couple! I will miss you Pat. You brought your kindness and great work ethics to the office daily. Condolences to all of your family. Barb Chase
