Eilleen Mae Stein (DelMain)

Preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Henry Stein, passed away January 7, 2006, and son James Gordon Stein, who passed away October 1, 1978. Eilleen was the youngest of six children (three sisters and two brothers) who also preceded her.
Married in 1948 in Frazee, Minnesota, Eilleen and Gordon came to Washington in 1952, where he worked for General Electric on the Hanford Project. They were early members of Redeemer Lutheran Church and in later years participated in Richland Senior Center activities and Rambling Rovers. Eilleen was a homemaker, who loved flowers and gardening, listening to music. Friend to all, she, was was an avid reader and excellent seamstress.
After Gordy’s retirement, they enjoyed the RV experience and wintered in Arizona where they took up square dancing, enjoyed spending time with friends and played many card games.
Eilleen leaves her daughter Connie Johnston (Stein), Grandaughter Stacie Staniszewski (Johnston), and Grandson Chad Johnston. Two Great grandchildren, Braeden Staniszewski and Colten Staniszewski. She leaves many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends; all who remained in her life and kept in touch, sharing treasured memories.
Eilleen’s family was so very fortunate to have her in their lives. She was steadfast in her faith and love for her family, especially Great Grandsons, Braeden and Colten, whom she was so very proud. She will be sorely missed as the loving matriarch of our family.
