Jackie Lorenzen
Jackie Faye Lorenzen, 82 of Richland, Washington, passed away on November 15, 2023.
Jackie was born on February 12, 1941 to Mildred and Marvin Cox in Cameron, Missouri.
Jackie was a long time member of the Community of Christ Church in Richland. She was, hands down, one of the most amazing florists ever! Creations by Jackie provided flower arrangements for several parties, weddings, proms, etc. She also possessed great cooking skills, her cinnamon rolls were the absolute best! She catered all kinds of events. In addition, she was an excellent seamstress, making numerous prom and wedding dresses for her loved ones. She enjoyed entertaining children and teaching them to cook. She had a big heart and you could see by her kindness and compassion how much she loved Jesus.
Jackie is proceeded in death by her parents Mildred and Marvin Cox, her husband, James Lorenzen, her brother Jim Cox, and her son Jim Lorenzen.
Jackie is survived by her brother, Bill Cox (Jena) and sister, Judie Winters, her son Ron (Tracie) Lorenzen and grandchildren, April (Tony) Valdez, great grandchildren, Taylor and Emma, grandson Kye (Amanda) Lorenzen and great grandchildren, Liam, Miliani, Jack, and Maxen, granddaughter Karli (Matt) Wilkes and great grandchildren, Bayli, Wyatt, and Paysli, daughter Debbie (Jeff) Coxey, and their children, Ashley (Josh) Erickson and great granddaughter Scarlett, Tyler (Princess) Coxey, and Makenna Coxey.
Services to be held graveside at Sunset Gardens on 11/25/23 @ 11:00am.
Ron and Tracie, I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. Prayers for you and the rest of the family.
Dear Ron and Debbie and families. We were sorry to read of Jackie’s passing. What wonderful memories of life on Mahan!! It’s hard to realize that those days were so long ago. We send you all our deepest sympathy.
I remember Jackie and Judy and Jim attending church services in Richland with their parents Marvin and Mildred Cox! But I will especially remember seeing Jackie in the Auburn church when she started to consider moving back to Richland! By then, she was undecided but clearly her thoughts and heart were prodding her to move back so I strongly suggested that the time was right for her to move back home! I am so glad she was surrounded by her loving family during the last years of her life!

I played tennis with Jim in school and in tournaments in the summer and had met his dad a few times. Though I never met Jackie, directly,..I grieve your loss.

Ron, Debbie and family— sending loving condolences to you all in your mom’s passing. Your mom has always held a special place in my heart, having grown up in the Pasco church congregation, participating Zion’s League activities. When she was living in Seattle area she did my wedding florals. Her smile, laugh and wit were gifts. Sorry I will be unable to attend the service. May you all be filled with cherished memories that keep her close to you.
