Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Brown (Mettling) passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024, at Kadlec Medical Center. She was born in Starr, TX on January 23, 1952. Cindy moved to Pasco in her teens with her father. She is preceded by her father Howard Mettling and her dear friends Mary and Charlie. She is survived by her 3 children Brandon Chaney (Corinna Mitchell), Bravis (Sharla) Brown and Lori (Scott) Hayles and her grandchildren Joshua, Matthew, Nathan and Andrew Hayles and her dear friend Linda Dewall.
Before moving to Richland, Cindy raised her children in Pasco who mostly worked in customer service and retail. She always said the best part of her job was her customers. We often run into past customers who ask how she is doing; they say she was always so nice. Her children were her pride and joy. Her friend, Linda reminded us that one thing she truly loved to do was dance.
Cindy’s favorite pastimes were taking walks, reading books, conquering puzzles, and chatting on the phone. Daily calls were expected. Cindy also loved and enjoyed her grandchildren. She always wanted to know where they were and what they were up to. She enjoyed visiting them on the farm to see their pig projects and visit all the family dogs.
Cindy also enjoyed animals and nature. She loved and spoiled her pet cats Chloe and Squeekers. They ruled the house.
She will be missed dearly.
Everyone is invited to a graveside service at Sunset Memorial Gardens in the “Garden of Remembrance” January 6th, 2024, Saturday, 10:00 a.m.
Her children would like to extend a great thanks to the Kadlec Medical Center ICU 10th floor staff. They were so compassionate and kind to our mom and we truly appreciated it.
