Ronald Monk
Ronald Wayne Monk, 84, of Tri Cities, WA, passed away on January 26, 2024, in Richland, WA. He was born on July 12, 1939, in Wenatchee, WA. Ronald, known to his loved ones as Ron, will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ron is survived by his son and wife, Don and Lisa Monk; granddaughter and husband, Christy and Randy Koehler; twin great granddaughters, Violet and Maizie; son and wife, Jeff and Kim Monk; grandson, Cameron Monk; son, Greg Monk; niece and husband, Ann and Robert Shelley; and great niece and nephew, Ali, Roman, and Tuesday Shelley.
Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Brooks; mother, Marie Williams; and father, Harry Monk.
Ron proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 to 1960. He was dedicated to his military service and demonstrated unwavering commitment to his country.
After his military service, Ron had a successful career with the U.S. Postal Service from 1960 to 1998. His dedication and hard work made a lasting impact on his colleagues and the community.
Outside of his professional life, Ron had a passion for music and was an accomplished pianist. He enjoyed playing in a jazz band and brought joy to many through his music. In addition, Ron loved dancing, jeep racing, snowmobiling and watching car racing. His adventurous spirit and love for outdoor activities were evident in these hobbies.
The funeral arrangements are being handled by Einan’s at Sunset Funeral Home in Richland, WA. Ron requested no service. The funeral home will provide guidance and support to the family during this difficult time.
Ronald Wayne Monk will be remembered as a devoted family man, a proud veteran, and a talented musician. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Donnie ,Lisa and Family was sorry to hear ofRons passing…….Butch and I enjoyed doing many things with him snowmobling, jeeping and meeting up at the car races…….working on many concrete projects……….remember the fun times and the love you shared
We are lucky to have had the chance to have had Ron as a friend and family in our lives. He will be missed by many who he touched with his music and love of family.
