Darci Johnson
Darci Lynn (Kerr) Johnson passed away on February 14, 2024, in Kennewick, Washington, at the age of 44. She was born on June 13, 1979, in Othello, Washington, to Joyce (Ochs) Kerr and the late Marvin Kerr. Darci is described by her loved ones as funny and charismatic with a fierce spirit and a deep love for her children and family. She enjoyed spending all her free time surrounded by friends and family doing things like camping, boating, and most of all laughing. Darci was a talented singer and loved to go out to karaoke, always encouraging others to sing and dance with. Her free-spirited personality was infectious to all who knew her. From the time Darci was a little girl, she has been remembered as a tiny spit fire and full of personality. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Darci is lovingly remembered by her husband, Jeremy Johnson; her precious children, Cody Dobbins, Shane Dobbins, Braden Johnson, and Katelynn “Katie” Johnson; her adored granddaughter, Raelynn Dobbins; her mother, Joyce Kerr; her devoted siblings; twin sister Staci (Josh) McIntosh, Debbie Kerr Moore, Marvin “Butch” (Kim) Kerr, Robert “Bobby” (Kim) Neace, Stephanie (Shawn) O’Dell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who were blessed by her gentle presence. She is preceded in death by her father, Marvin Kerr Sr., Morley & Ann Kerr, Marlo and Flora Ochs, and her brother, Clinton “Clint” Kerr.
The family invites all who knew and loved Darci to join in a traditional Celebration of Life, which will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11:00am at Einan’s at Sunset Event Center, 915 Bypass Highway, Richland, Washington.
May your angel wings wrap around your family and friends to comfort and protect them. You are well loved, Darci, and will be terribly missed. Rest in peace, my friend.
You were one of my very first friends as a pre-schooler – you and Staci. Our friendship lasted through all the moves you made as a child until you came back to Othello and settled on Steele Rd #2. How someone lived on both of the Steele Roads in our little town is funny to me. Our friendship, as adults, was off and on as we married and had babies.
We had so many things we bonded over in our lifetime and our sense of humor was one of them. So many hours spent laughing with you which has to be one of my favorite memories. I pray you continued to laugh until your last breath. I’m glad you are free from your health struggles and free to laugh without pain.
I love this pic of you and it’s how I will always remember you. Until we meet again, my friend.
