David Leroy Fennell

David LeRoy Fennell passed away on February 12, 2024, in Richland, Washington. David was born on February 7, 1940 to Russell and Elaine Fennell in Owosso, Michigan. He grew up in Benton City, Washington from age nine until joining the Air Force. He had many careers over his lifetime. Although he was retired, if he wasn’t at home, he would say he was at work which was code for playing poker.

David enjoyed fishing, poker, traveling, and cribbage. Over the course of 12 years, he and his wife played 3,394 games of cribbage: Dave 1,768 Jill – 1,626. He enjoyed building relationships with people and never met someone that he did not befriend.

David is survived by his spouse, Jill Spargur Fennell, his children from previous marriages Kevin Fennell, Kim Kaiser, Kyla Fennell, Dave (DJ) Fennell, Forest Fennell, and Deniece McElhinney, sister Phyllis Stanley, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday March 30, 2024, at 12:30pm at the Richland Church of Christ, 933 Thayer Avenue, Richland, WA 99352
