Sheryl A. Harris
Sheryl Harris, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all, passed peacefully February 24, 2024 at her home with family by her side. She will be greatly missed until we meet again.
Sheryl Avis Harris was born on September 16, 1948, to Harvey Eugene and Josephine Farr Smith in American Fork, Utah. She spent her childhood in Pleasant Grove, Utah, and was one of four children. She is survived by her brother Craig Smith and sisters Jolynne Goodman and Suzanne Keetch. She attended Pleasant Grove High School and graduated in 1966. She met and married Jerry Harris, the love of her life, on June 6, 1968. After attending BYU for a year, she graduated from cosmetology school. Following graduation, the couple ventured off to Minnesota for a couple of years, then to Seattle, WA for a brief stint before settling in Burbank, WA, where they spent her remaining 47 years. Together, Jerry and Sheryl had six children: Raquel, Michelle, Jennifer, Benjamin, Kimberly, and Chanel.
Sheryl was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a multi-talented homemaker with skills in baking the most delicious orange rolls and pies, sewing perfect hand towels, clothing, blankets, and gifts, gardening beautiful and vibrant flowers, growing the biggest, juiciest tomatoes, and enjoying her love of shopping and finding a great deal. She loved all things pink! She enjoyed holiday crafting, always creating the cutest signs and decor. Sheryl had a love for all animals; over the years, at the Harris farmstead, she raised and tended to horses, cows, chickens, sheep, dogs, and, of course, many litters of bunnies and kittens.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Josephine Smith, and her daughter Raquel Wallace (December 30, 2022).
