Grace Marie Dodd passed away on March 23, 2024 at her home of natural causes, she took with her a life filled with much joy and the deep love of her beloved family.

She was born Grace Marie Gano in Portland, Oregon, on December 09, 1927.

Grace loved her family, and when her children grew up she looked for other kids to take care of and started working for the local school district as a lunch lady and then became a foster parent with her husband Robert L. Hodgson Sr.  Grace and her family loved to go camping, fishing, and visiting family.  Grace was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Grace is survived by her children, Emily Brown, Robert (Nila) Hodgson, Deborah (John) Baker; 10 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and her brother Clifford DeVine.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Gano and Winifred Downham DeVine; sister, Maxine Williams; brothers, LeRoy and Delbert Gano; her son-in-law Dale Brown and grandson Bryan Sorber. She also was preceded in death by her husbands Robert L. Hodgson Sr., and Walter Dodd.

Services will be held on Saturday March 30th, at 1pm. at the LDS church at 820 South Buntin Street, Kennewick, WA. Grace will be buried at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Grace’s name to Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice, 1480 Fowler Street, Richland, WA 99352.
