Madhuri Pandey
Madhuri Pandey was born on January 2nd 1950, and passed away suddenly on March 6th 2024. She was born in India and moved to the United States in 1968 with her husband Vinay Pandey. She and Vinay were married for nearly 56 years.
She was a longtime resident of the Tri-Cities. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for various Department of Energy contractors. The last contractor she worked for was Lockhead Martin. She was an active and founding member of the Hindu Society of Eastern Washington (HSEW). In the early days of the temple, she served as treasurer. Her hard work was instrumental in getting HSEW started.
Madhuri had a passion for cooking. She not only cooked excellent Indian food but also excelled at cooking various other cuisines. She would watch her favorite chefs on You Tube and then try out the new recipes on her family and friends. She loved to entertain and throw parties. She could throw together a party for 40 people at the drop of a hat. She had a fondness of flowers and would cultivate roses and dahlias in her garden. She also enjoyed shopping and especially when she was able to find a great deal at TJ Maxx. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed watching all the late-night comedians. In her earlier days she loved to travel and had visited various countries around the world.
She leaves behind her husband, Vinay. She also leaves behind daughter Seema, son-in-law Martin and son Kishore. She is survived by her sister Sudha, and her brothers Vijay and Sanjay and their spouses. She is preceded in death by her father Laxmi K. Tewari, mother Shyama Tewari and brother Ajay Tewari.
