Celebration of Life
Ann Wallace
Ann Foster Wallace, 63, passed away April 6 in Richland, WA., holding the hands of her son and husband.
Ann Marie Foster was born to Joe and Katherine Foster on Jan. 21, 1961, in Ennis, Mt. She was a fourth generation Montanan, with roots in the Missouri Breaks and Lewistown area. Her family even lost its original homestead during the Depression when the Fort Peck Dam was built, flooding them out.
She was raised “all over everywhere” because of her dad’s job — Montana, Minnesota, New Mexico, Colorado, Washington. But — her love for Montana was always paramount.
Ann graduated from Lake Quinault High School in Amanda Park, WA.
In the late 1980s, she and her dad owned and ran the infamous, historical Pony Bar in Pony, MT.
In 1996 she married Tri-Cities native Frank Wallace, and mostly would keep the Tri-Cities as her home base for the rest of her life. She would own numerous businesses over the years, including Willow Winds, a spiritual consulting business concentrating on angel work which would take her around the West and up into Canada on a lecture circuit, and Bead All Bug Beads, a beloved Richland bead store. She also worked as an estate appraiser and sold antiques.
Annie “loved horses more than she loved ice cream — and she really loved ice cream.”
Annie was the social center of her family. She truly never met a stranger, knew everyone, and was kind-hearted. Annie was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Katherine, and an infant brother Danny. She is survived by her husband Frank, sons Nate and A.J. and stepson Wes Owens; and her sisters Yvonne Benson, Caroline Bender, Linda Foster, Laura Briggs and Sheryl Amack.
Two Celebrations of Life are scheduled for Annie, June 29 in the Tri-Cities at the Einans Sunset Funeral Home at 11 a.m., at the Event Center Building H; and July 6 in Montana where her ashes will be scattered at the family’s cabin in Hells Canyon south of Whitehall.
