Victoria Ellen Lunn
Victoria Ellen “Vicki” Lunn passed away on May 7, 2024, at the age of 74, in Union Gap, Washington. Born on August 18, 1949, in Seattle, Washington, she was the daughter of Ernest W. Lunn and Lillian L. Miller.
Vicki attended Arlington Elementary and Arlington High School, where she began her lifelong love of learning. After her eldest daughter began school, Vicki started working as a maid at the Desert Gold Motel. Her career trajectory took a significant turn when she joined Rogers of Walla Walla as an on-call employee. She completed her 1040 hours of on-call work, which led to a full-time position on the trim line. Her diligent work ethic and dedication enabled her to rise through the ranks, eventually becoming a supervisor and then transferring to the shipping department. There, Vicki excelled as a forklift driver, trainer, and ultimately, the Vice President of the department. She was also an active member of the Teamsters Union until she was no longer eligible for membership.
In her religious life, Vicki grew up as a member of The Jehovah’s Witnesses and remained active into her adulthood. After leaving the Witnesses, she explored various other religions and beliefs, reflecting her open-minded approach to spirituality.
Travel was one of Vicki’s passions, enriching her life and those around her with stories and experiences from her journeys.
During her childhood Victoria was stricken with polio, this left her with post-polio syndrome that she struggled with her entire life. In 2007 she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease.
Vicki is survived by her ex-husband, Martin R. Perez, and her children, Christopher (Bridget) Perez, Rebecca (Michael) Maul, and Angela Perez. She was a cherished grandmother to Josh Strand, Alex Hansen, Jonathan Perez, Cheyenne Perez, Jaiden Perez, Jolynn Soper, Karah Soper, and Riann Perez, Jacob Soper and a great-grandmother to Paxton Johnson, Ezra Redinger, Imogene Redinger, Tilly, Kennedi Strand, Kamden Strand, and Kilee Strand. She is also remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Vicki was preceded in death by her father, Ernest W. Lunn, her mother, Lillian L. Miller, and her half-siblings, Donna Lund, Albert Bossart, Anthony Bossart, and Georgia Etheridge.
Vicki’s life was marked by her resilience, dedication, and the loving legacy she leaves behind in her family and community.
