Grace Christine Rudolph

Grace Christine Rudolph passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024 to be with her precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was born on June 23, 1936 to John and Dorothy Henley and was raised on a large wheat and cattle ranch owned by her father in Hay, WA. She met Marvin Rudolph in high school and they were married. Approximately one year later Grace started her career as a bank teller in Colfax, WA and two years later they started their family with a son, Marvin Bradley Rudolph. They moved to Pasco, WA about two years later when Marvin started a job at Cargill grain elevator in Burbank, WA. Their family was then completed with the birth of another son, Jeff Rudolph (Ross), and a daughter, Donna Rudolph (Hendricksen). Grace raised her family at home for 14 years before going back to work at Old National Bank in Pasco. In 1976, Grace and Marvin moved to Lynnwood, WA when Marvin received a promotion with Cargill. Grace stayed with banking and later became an administrator at an assisted care facility. When Marvin retired in 1997 they moved back to Tri-Cities and remained there the rest of their lives.

Grace and Marvin were very involved in many church ministries as volunteers and loved serving the Lord. They also enjoyed RVing with friends and family to many places. She loved her Southern Gospel music and even traveled along the West Coast to Gaither Southern Gospel concerts in their RV. Grace also loved to cook, bake and crochet. She had many sweet little dogs that filled her and Marvin with so much joy. She also loved being a grandmother/great-grandmother and always introduced herself, “I’m grandma!” Grace and Marvin took in many other people and children as their own, unofficially adopting them as their children and grandchildren. Grace always had so much love to give.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dorothy Henley, her siblings, Frank, John, Don, and Berda – her husband, Marvin, and her son Jeff Ross, and daughter, Donna.

Grace is survived by her eldest son, Brad, her grandchildren, Mandi, Jamie, Justin, Ashley, Sarah, Sheri, Sharla, as well as her great-grandchildren, Clifton, Aurelia, Jared, Jayda, Braden, Jordan, Jason, Ashton, Christian, and Amara; as well as her son-in-law, Bobby, and daughters-in-law, Yvette and Susan.

  • I remember Grace’s beautiful spirit. She was full of God’s love and grace. She always had a kind smile and a kind word of encouragement for me, which I will remember always. Grace lived up to her name and I picture her smiling in heaven now.

  • Brad and family…
So sorry to learn of your mom’s (Grace) passing. She and your dad had always held a special place in my heart. Being youth leaders at PFBC was a time when the youth learned how to serve as we also grew. Recall the bus ministry, lunches at the Pastor Nelson’s home and the high school. After I left college I returned to the TriCities working for the Post. office.
Recall you and I rented an apartment there on Road 60.
Then finishing my finance degree and accepted a banking job in Portland. Married my wife Sylvia in ’80 and welcomed our daughter Elizabeth in ’83 and son David in ’85. Do you remember our visit to your home there in Hayden Lake a number of years ago? We thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and Yevette. I recall you working for your church at the time. Zoom forward to today …. We are now retired and living in Clackamas. I somehow lost your contact info over the years and haven’t been able to communicate to/,from you. Please consider replying.

Returning to the news of your mom’s ‘graduation’ I’m both saddened and joyful. She like your dad, was a wonderful person. Over the years I have often tried to pattern my position as a parent and church leader after similar qualities I saw in them. I have many memories of growing up in the 70’z and early ,80’s.
Praying for your family as they grieve ‘mom’s passing, but rejoycing that she is now experiencing God’s love and presence!

I always felt loved being around you and I know you made everyone else who knew you feel that way too. That was your heart!! Thank you for loving me, for always being supportive when I needed it, for making me feel beautiful and special. I will cherish those memories forever. Thank you, Mom #2. • I met sweet Gracie at Guardian Angel, Vineyard house, when my Mom lived there. Her beautiful blue eyes, happy smile and pure joy were her trademarks. And did she love sweets—just mention candy or spudnuts or ice cream, and she lit up. She was an accomplished and much loved woman, and I will miss seeing her.

  • I will always love mom. She was mom to me and called me her daughter. One of the sweetest people I have ever met. I was glad to visit her over the years at Guardian Angels. We would laugh and joke. Bob and I spent time with her sharing the past and cheering her by showing her pictures and videos of the grandkids and great grandkids. She had a grand, big, beautiful and genuine smile. Beautiful person I am blessed to know! See you in heaven mom.
