Patricia (Pat) A. McMahan, age 81, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on July 25th, 2024, in Richland, Washington. Pat was born on April 15th, 1943, in Roseburg, Oregon. In 1964, Pat married Ron McMahan in Reno, Nevada, and together they went on to build a loving family with the birth of their son, Shae McMahan. Pat was a resident of Richland, Washington, for 47 years and retired from her dedicated service at Benton County Superior Court in 2013.
Pat is survived by her son, Shae McMahan and his wife Ilda; grandsons, Tommy McMahan and Michael McMahan and fiancé Chelsea Wheeler; and great-granddaughter, Daphne Mae McMahan. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews, Bradley Davidson, Tammy Daniels, Jay McMahan, Bobbie McMahan, and Shawn McMahan. Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ron, her brother-in-law Jerry McMahan, and her brother Thomas Davidson.
Known for her vivacious spirit, Pat embraced every opportunity to celebrate life’s moments, whether they were holidays, birthdays, weddings, or even National Margarita Day. Her enthusiasm and joy were always accompanied by a Mimosa in hand, ready to toast to the simple and significant occasions alike.
Pat’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love and celebration will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to be a part of her life.
A Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Richland, Washington, and a graveside service will follow at Sunset Gardens with a return to Christ the King for a luncheon to share memories.
My Aunt Patty and Uncle Ronnie were special people. Very caring and concerned for all family members.
It’s never easy to lose a friend, but we can take comfort in knowing Pat is no longer in pain and that she, Ron and Pat’s good friend, Geri, are together again. May the memories we have of Pat bring smiles to our faces. Pat will always be missed but never forgotten.
I will forever have a place on my heart for this beautiful longtime friend. Her spirit to always make an occasion better will be so missed. You have now found peace and can be with your beloved Ron. I love you and will miss you always. Such a special lady and friend.
