Anne Marie Ward
Anne Ward passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024; She spent her last days delightfully watching hummingbirds returning to her feeders.
She was born Anne Marie Bock on March 17, 1932, to Henry and Rose Bock (Lenertz).
Anne grew up on a farm in Foxholm, North Dakota. Later her family moved to Minot, and she attended High School at St. Leo’s and graduated in 1948 at an early age.
Nursing was Anne Marie’s calling and she went into nurses training at St Joseph’s Hospital in Minot ND and became an RN.
While at a dance with her sister, she met her future husband, Hugh Ward and they were later married on November 6, 1954.
Shortly after they were married, Anne and Hugh moved to Richland where Anne worked as an RN at Hanford and Kadlec, then onto Head Nurse at Heather House for many years. Anne was a fun loving and supportive Mother, Grandmother and Friend; filling her life by caring for others. She loved spending time in her yard and arranging flowers and roses from her garden and bird watching.
Anne is survived by son, Paul Ward; daughter, Maureen Creagan (Jeff); grandsons, Jeremy and Matthew; her sister Frances.
Paul and Maureen, the Hogan’s are so sadden to hear of your mom’s passing. We just learned of it today. She was loved by all of us and holds a special place in our hearts, as do all of the awards. Anne was a wonderful person and so good to our family, and especially to mom. May the beautiful memories you have with her bring you peace.

An absolutely wonderful caring person.
Maureen and Paul, I’m so sorry for your loss, it’s never easy losing a parent. Your mom was such a caring and nurturing woman. She did so much for our grandparents in their late years and I’m forever grateful. May all the good memories you have of her keep her alive in your heart.
Renée Blasky (Doyle) – first cousin.
Anne and I worked together in Home Healthcare many years ago. She was a kind, caring, and sweet woman who was also a very patient and loving nurse. She had such a lovely demeanor, and her patients loved her. My condolences to her family.
