Jason Nathaniel Farwell
Jason Nathaniel Farwell was born on January 31, 1978 in Baytown, Tx. Shortly after his birth, his family moved to Pasco, Washington where he lived for 46 years. Growing up Jason enjoyed being active, racing RC cars, BMX bikes & skateboarding. He learned to snowboard and loved to hit the slopes in winter. In recent years, he enjoyed roller skating and would often be found at the local Rollarena working on his moves on Thursday nights. You would also find him frequently on the golf course where he enjoyed working on his game. One of his favorite hobbies was restoring large old cars like Cadillacs or Lincolns. He liked to trick them out with cool rims, bumping stereo systems and even hydraulics turning a plain old car into a classy ride. On quiet days, he enjoyed drawing, painting and music. He loved writing, recording and mixing music and had his own music studio at home. His flows were always catchy and his messages of life, love, loss and heartache were always authentic. As a recording artist, he released numerous tracks on Spotify and Apple Music under the name Jason F where people from all over the world have listened to and enjoyed his musical gifts. He also enjoyed performing at local shows and collaborating with other local artists. Secularly, Jason was employed as a commercial truck driver for many years. For the last few years he worked as a Teamster at PNNL.
Jason cared deeply about family and was always up for spending time together enjoying a meal, celebrating a special occasion or just hanging out. His lively positive energy always brought an infectious spark to family gatherings. He was a devoted father to his children Ta’lon and Janay, always encouraging them to follow their dreams, be original and express their authentic selves. In 2010, Jason married the love of his life, Loni Elmo-Farwell and they spent the next few years creating many happy memories. They were looking forward to expanding their family when, tragically, Loni and their newborn daughter Avery passed away unexpectedly in 2013. Even through the toughest times, Jason and his kids shared a special bond and supported each other.
In early 2024, Jason was diagnosed with a terminal illness. After battling bravely for many months, Jason was able to rest peacefully on October 17, 2024. He always said that our trials are lessons that make us stronger and he definitely had more than his share. Jason was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle & friend and his presence will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his children Ta’lon Farwell; daughter Janay Farwell; mother Marc Farwell; sister Chlayne Fellows (Rick Fellows, Azlyn Fellows, Maisey Leach) as well as numerous other loving relatives and friends.
Jason is preceded in death by his wife Yolanda ‘Loni ’Elmo-Farwell; daughter Avery Aaliyah Farwell; father Philip Bruce Farwell; and grandparents Laurene Farwell, William Arthur Farwell and John Arthur & Leotta Farrell as well as several uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 2120 N. 28th Avenue, Pasco, WA on November 16, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.

The news of your passing saddened my heart Jason. You were such a great friend and father. You were the one who I called the many nights I sat in the Cemetery losing my mind, after Donye died, because I knew you, out of everyone, knew my pain first hand. And you answered the phone every time… I don’t know if I ever got to tell you how much those calls meant to me. And now I never will. I am at Peace knowing you are once again back with the love of your life and little girl. Now you will have infinity to spend since your time with them here was cut so short. Prayers to Talon and Janay. I know this must be a very tough time for them. Rest Easy and your memory will always live on.
Think about you every day brother. Wish we could get out on the golf course, invite you to tag along with the family for dinner on Friday night, come chill at the crib and watch some conspiracy theory YouTube videos one last time lol. Lincoln still asks about you, wanting you to come over and wrestle or practice putting in the living room. Miss and love you dog.
