Joseph Daniel Davis

Joseph Daniel Davis at the age of 87 passed peacefully away into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on October 11, 2024, in Kennewick, WA.
Joseph was the son of Henry H Davis, Sr., and Floy Allene Smith. The youngest of eleven children, Joe was one of eight brothers and three sisters. He was born in Savannah, Georgia on April 23, 1937. He was the only one of eleven to be born in the hospital.
Joe was happily married to Isabel Davis for fifty-three years, one month and 10 days. A happier couple you will not meet. She proceeded him in death and oh how he missed that woman. He is survived by his daughter Karen (Ed), his son Joseph II (Lisa), five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to many.
Dad graduated High School with a football scholarship to the University of Georgia, Go Dogs!! Instead of college Dad enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served for 20 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran, Mason, Shriner, 32d Degree Scottish Rite, American Legion Chaplain, VFW, DAV and more. He was a man of God who had high standards of character, and equally high expectations.
He loved telling stories and was always telling jokes to whoever would listen. Dad loved to fish, and we spent many great hours on the water. He had a passion for family and had been doing genealogy for many years, he had over 250,000 names in his database. He was very proud of his family.
We had the best upbringing by a man that loved his family more than life. We are blessed beyond measure by the love and strength he shared with us. He lived a full life and had no regrets. We know he is in Heaven holding hands with Mom once again.
Dad, we will miss you so much. Thank you for the incredible memories.

  • Joe you came into my life not long after I lost my father, you helped me find family that I did not know I had and made me part of that family. You helped my mum with your kind letters, she enjoyed reading them and when she passed I was given them and will treasure them as she did. you will forever be in my heart.
