William Willis Thornton
William Willis Thornton, born on October 23, 1999, in Richland, WA, passed away on October 30, 2024, in Benton City, WA. A proud graduate of Hanford High School, William was known for his vibrant spirit and infectious enthusiasm, making him the life of every gathering.
William had a myriad of interests, from his unwavering support for the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners to his love of bowling and karaoke. He was a devoted fan of Michael Jackson and Carrie Underwood, often seen singing along to their hits. His hobbies included collecting pens and paper, writing, and enjoying the antics of shows like Duck Dynasty and Billy the Exterminator.
A true friend and family member, William had a remarkable ability to bring joy to those around him. He was often described as a bright light, sharing love and laughter wherever he went. His family fondly remembers him as the best little boy anyone could meet, always reminding them of important dates and events with the diligence of a parrot. His proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly being recognized as the best Seahawks fan ever, a title he wore with pride.
William is survived by his loving parents, Amber Waters and Kyle Thornton, Brooks Waters, Arteka Thornton, along with his siblings , Alexander Thornton, Lucian Waters , Jacob Bonner, Adriana Bonner, Jacob Jr. Bonner, and grandparents Dinha Thornton , Linda Ellis , Timothy Gardner and Geneva “Nana” Beasley.
His favorite sayings, such as “Hog jaw , hallelujah and go Seahawks,” encapsulated his joyous spirit, while his love for watching seals in Oregon served as a reminder of the simple pleasures in life. William also enjoyed participating in community events, particularly karaoke nights organized by the VFW.
In all, William’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness and exuberance. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
