John’s life was defined by hard work, dedication, and love for his family and all dogs.  He worked for the International Paper Company in Camden, Arkansas, practiced as a journeyman carpenter, and spent much of his career as a power operator with various Hanford contractors in Richland, Washington.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hilburn and Erla Faulkner; his beloved wife, Barbara; his brother, James H. Faulkner; his daughter, Donna Tollison; and numerous extended family members.
John is survived by his sons, Richard Faulkner and wife Charmine, David Faulkner; son-in-law Sam Tollison; John’s brother, Paul Faulkner; five cherished grandchildren: Tyler Tollison and wife Meagan, Lacey Tollison, Kyli (née Faulkner) and husband Richard Placke, Logan Faulkner and wife Veronica, and Noah Faulkner; and five great-grandchildren: Austin, Ayden, and Gage Tollison, and Griffin and Cooper Placke. He is also lovingly remembered by the compassionate nurses of Hanford Home Health, whose exceptional care over the last four years extended his life beyond expectations.
John requested no formal memorial service. A private graveside gathering will be held for immediate family at the time of his burial.
John will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of kindness, resilience, and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Chaplaincy Hospice or Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation in John’s memory.

  • I’m so sad to hear that John has passed. Allan and I had the privilege of being neighbors to John and Barbara for several years. In addition to being neighbors our grandchildren had wonderful memories of staying in their daycare. When I occasionally picked them up at the end of the day, John would be sitting in the recliner with one or more of the kids on his lap. His demeanor was always calming amidst all the noise. Sending big hugs for all the family and comfort knowing where he is.

  • My stubborn old man. I’m so blessed to have had you as my grandfather and even more blessed to have had the relationship that we did. I will miss you with every walk in the middle of summertime and every bite of biscuits and gravy. Until we meet again ❤️

  • Uncle John was the best!! We talked on the phone a lot. He would call me and sing old gospel songs to me and we would talk about how much we needed our Lord Jesus. I’m glad he is with his beloved and his Lord but I’m going to miss him terribly.
