Shirley Crume
Shirley Rae Crume died peacefully on November 3, 2024, at the age of 91. In her last hours, she was surrounded by her beloved family, including three generations of children she held dear.
Shirley is survived by her sons and daughters Michael, Kate, Jay, Lora, Bryan, Justin, their spouses, and Shirley’s many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years James Cecil Crume; father Raymond Michael Drury; mother Lucille Lorena (Maes) Drury, and her brother Lawrence Raymond Drury.
Shirley graduated Columbia High School in Richland, Washington in 1951. She married James Cecil Crume from Lubbock, Texas, on May 17, 1952. Shirley worked part-time for several companies over her life, but her real identity was found in her role as a capable wife, loving mother, and caring neighbor.
Not long after Jim and Shirley started a family, they began to learn precious truths from the Bible that beautifully transformed their lives. Shirley got to know her Creator and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on April 7, 1962. This dedication moved her to pursue a life course full of love, kindness, truth, and good works. Her heartfelt devotion, sympathetic ear, and sincere willingness to help others proved to be a blessing for her family, friends, and anyone who came to know her.
The family would like to thank you for your prayers and kindness during this time. Your shared memories, comfort, condolences, and gestures of love are truly appreciated. We are all especially grateful for the “God of all comfort” who lovingly provided us with a beautiful hope for the future, when all the things that we have tearfully lost can be joyfully restored. (2 Cor. 1:3; Hos. 13:14; Re. 21:3-5).
You are warmly invited to join us in fondly remembering Shirley, to enjoy the blessings we have in common, and to be comforted by God’s reassuring promises for the future.

This sister helped me come into the truth in 1969. Her and Jim went mevthe Volkswagen bug. Then they escorted mentor Vancouver BC. That is where I got baptized. Been serving every since. The love she showed me made me a strong Witness. Of course she was lead by Jehovahs holy spirit.
