Lynne Fettkether

Lynne A. Fettkether, aged 82, of Pasco, Washington, passed away on December 27, 2024, in Richland, Washington. She was born on September 17, 1942, in Hamilton, Montana, to Tom and Roberta Williams. Lynne grew up in Wisdom, Montana, and graduated in 1960 from Beaverhead County High School in Dillon, Montana. She lived a life characterized by love, strength, and resilience.
Lynne married Richard Fettkether on September 7, 1963. They were together for 61 years. They met while attending the University of Montana in Missoula. Together, they built a life filled with love, adventure, and cherished memories.
After her kids were grown, Lynne returned to school to obtain both LPN and RN nursing degrees. She dedicated over 20 years to the nursing profession, where her compassion and care significantly impacted numerous lives. Additionally, she was an active member of the Tri-Delta Sorority, enjoyed cooking, and valued time spent with family and friends. Lynne had a deep passion for rodeos in the Pacific Northwest and the National Finals Rodeo (NFR), as well as an appreciation for western culture, including music, artwork, poetry, and clothing. She was also a dedicated and passionate University of Montana alumna and football fan.
Lynne valiantly battled and triumphed over breast cancer and colon cancer, ultimately passing away after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, determination, and love.
Lynne is survived by her husband, her brother Steve Williams of Salmon, Idaho, and her three children: Tim (Steph) Fettkether, Teresa Carlon, and Tom (Iris) Fettkether. Her legacy endures through her beloved grandchildren: Cole, Luke, Brandon, Jason, Tyler, and Rylee Carlon.
Lynne will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
There will be a celebration of her life on Saturday, March 15, at 4:00pm at Sunset Gardens Event Center in Richland, WA. The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
