David Earl Beaman
David Earl Beaman, born on February 8, 1946, in Portland, Oregon, passed away on April 3, 2026, in West Richland, Washington. He was a proud veteran of the Army, enlisting in1968, and serving until 1973, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. After his military service, Dave had a fulfilling career at BNSF Railroad, from which he eventually retired.
Dave was a true family man, leaving behind his beloved daughter, Jennifer Pope, and son, Mark Beaman, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and cousins. Family gatherings were often filled with laughter and love, and he cherished every moment spent with those he held dear. He had a passion for fishing, spending countless weekends on the water, and discussing how to save the salmon. His love for boats was undeniable; he took great joy in endlessly modifying them to make each one uniquely his own.
In addition to his hobbies on the water, Dave was known for his clever uses of beeswax, and creating his own nature preserve complete with a very “Grandpa Dave” style of yurt. He had a curious mind and a playful side, often entertaining family and friends with his wild ideas, including his amusing designs for UFOs. He really loved sushi, was innovative in various home improvement designs that mostly worked, and particularly enjoyed bringing home odd food items to challenge family to figure out how to cook them.
Dave’s spirit, creativity, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of passion, innovation, and devotion to family will continue to inspire those left behind.
David was preceded in death by his parents and sister.
