Jon Elliott

Jonathan Dee Elliott, 77, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, at his home in West Richland, Washington. Born on December 9, 1948, in Waterloo, Iowa, Jon lived a life marked by dedication to his work, family, and community.

Jon devoted his career to the nuclear industry, specializing in quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC). His expertise took him to numerous sites across the United States, including significant contributions at Hanford. His commitment to excellence and hard work left a lasting impression on colleagues and those who worked alongside him.

Beyond his professional achievements, Jon was known for his selflessness and generosity. He made two trips to Bolivia to help build churches, embodying his dedication to serving others and making a positive impact wherever he could. His willingness to give his time and energy for the benefit of others will be remembered as a testament to his character.

Jon is survived by his loving wife, Judith Elliott; his son Kelly Elliott; his daughter Jessica Jones; and three cherished grandchildren: Jason Elliott, Colton Jones, and Savannah Jones, his brother Rex Elliott and sisters Karen Mahnken and Stacy Boothe. He was predeceased by his brother Shane Elliott, sister Kim Hampton, and son Todd Elliott.

Jon’s legacy of hard work and selfless service will continue to inspire those who knew him. He will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.

May his memory bring comfort and peace to those who mourn his passing.
