Rodney Mark Cherry

It is with shattered hearts that we must announce that Rodney Cherry passed away on May 16, 2026, with his wife of 50 years Mary, by his side.

Rodney was an incredible husband, father to Heather, Amy and his son-in-law Eric, and reluctant cat dad. He grew up in Pasco, WA and although he spent years traveling the country for work, he called Pasco his home for all 71 years of his life.

A championship winning truck driver, proud member of the Pacific Northwest Mustang Club, and the world’s best at mowing his lawn, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do, or wouldn’t do for those that he loved.

A memorial service will be held at his home, 4112 W. Livingston, Pasco, on Friday June 5th at 3:00. His family would like to invite anyone to come and tell stories, remember his amazing laugh, and indulge in his favorite foods while remembering how his life touched so many.

“He’s not really dead, as long as we remember him”  – Dr. McCoy, Star Trek the Wrath of Kahn

  • Rodney will be greatly missed. I worked with Rodney for many years up until he retired. Many of his old crew are sharing memories as we learn of his passing today. He was a great guy to work with and an even sweeter friend. My heart goes out to his bride and family.
