“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
Charles David Spinos was welcomed into his heavenly home on June 25, 2026, at the age of 95, just days after celebrating his birthday. He passed away peacefully at his home in West Richland, Washington, with family by his side.
Born on June 13, 1931, in Parma, Ohio, Charles gave his heart to Jesus Christ as a young man. From that day forward, his faith became the foundation and guiding purpose of his life. He was a devoted member of the Apostolic Christian Church and faithfully served as a minister for more than 50 years. Whether preaching from the pulpit, praying with someone in need, or quietly encouraging others through his daily example, Charles desired that others would come to know and love the Lord.
Charles proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged from the Armed Forces of the United States of America on December 13, 1954. His military service reflected his dedication, discipline, and deep love of country.
Following his military service, Charles pursued a career as an electrician. He received a Certificate of Completion of Apprenticeship from the State of Arizona in the trade of Electrical Wireman on August 3, 1959. As a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, he was honored with a pin recognizing 30 years of service in October 1987. His work ethic, technical skill, and commitment to excellence reflected the character that defined every area of his life.
Never one to stop learning, Charles later entered the real estate profession and established his own brokerage firm in Richland, Washington, which he operated for approximately ten years. His entrepreneurial spirit eventually led him into the growing world of computers, where he worked as a consultant and founded Omega Automated Systems Company, specializing in computer software and hardware.
Charles was naturally curious, largely self-taught, and an avid reader. He believed learning was a lifelong pursuit. Yet above every accomplishment, he treasured God’s Word. Reading the Bible, serving the Lord, and sharing the hope of Jesus Christ were the true passions of his life. Whether in his work, his ministry, or his home, he sought to honor God in all that he did. He dearly loved his church family and considered it one of God’s greatest blessings to worship, serve, and grow in faith alongside them.
On February 1, 1958, Charles married his beloved wife, Carolyn Staich Spinos. Together they shared 39 years of marriage built on faith, love, devotion, and commitment to one another. In 1997, Charles was preceded in death by Carolyn, his cherished wife. Following her passing, he remained faithful to her memory and never remarried.
Above all, Charles wanted his family to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. His greatest desire was that they would know Christ personally and live lives that honored Him. His steadfast faith and Christ-centered example remain a lasting legacy to all who knew and loved him.
Charles is survived by his two children: Rick and Nancy; his five grandchildren: Alexandria, Jose, Joel, Brian, and Erich; and his four beloved great-grandchildren: Isabella, Genesis, Eva, and Freedom. He also leaves behind other extended family members and loved ones whom he held dear to his heart, along with treasured friends and his beloved church family.
A memorial service celebrating Charles’s life will be held at Einan’s at Sunset Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship, local police and firefighters, veterans, or other charitable organizations that serve and support our communities.
While we mourn Charles’s passing, we rejoice in the blessed assurance that he is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We thank God for the gift of his life, his faithful example, and the legacy he leaves behind. His life pointed others to Christ, and his greatest joy was knowing that this was not goodbye, but only “until we meet again.”
Well done, Dad. Well done, Grandpa. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
