Edna Louise (McWethy) Dyekman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, in Richland, Washington, at the age of 89.

Louise was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to Leslie Keeney McWethy and Anna Mae (Blakeman) McWethy, and lived in many places until the age of fifteen, when they moved to Loveland, Colorado. After graduating from Loveland High School, she attended Colorado State University, where she met her future husband G. Kent Dyekman.  They married on June 7, 1958.

Louise was a waitress, salesperson, and bank teller in Loveland until they moved to Richland, Washington, in 1959, for Kent’s job. She loved art, painting, knitting, crocheting, and was active in her church, including Bible study. After Kent retired, summers were spent at their cabin on Sacheen Lake enjoying fishing, socializing, and daily rides on their pontoon boat. Her love of the ocean led to yearly trips with Kent to Hawaii and she enjoyed many tropical trips with her sisters.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Kent, her parents, and her sister, Ellen Buckner.  She is survived by her children: Alan, Dale (Sarah), and Tracy (Charlie) Jokisch; grandchildren Lexy (Jack) Murphy, and Zachary (Emmerine) Jokisch, and step-granddaughter Casey O’Bleness.  She is also survived by her siblings, Mike (the late Beth) McWethy, Sherry McWethy, and Chuck (Anne) McWethy.

A Celebration of Life will be held September 12th at 1pm at Einan’s Event Center (Events at Sunset) 915 bypass Hwy Richland WA 99352, with a reception to follow.
