Russell “Jeff” Jefferson Tiwater March 31, 1971- June 24, 2026
Richland, Washington – Russell Jefferson Tiwater, age 55, of Richland Washington, unexpectedly passed away at home on June 24, 2026.
Jeff was born March 31, 1971, to Russell and Rita Tiwater at Kadlec Hospital. He had a brother, James “Rocky” Tiwater, and a half-brother Albert Strode.
Jeff grew up in Richland and attended Marcus Whitman Elementary, Carmichael Junior High, and Hanford High School. He never chose a single occupation and became a professional everything guy. He enjoyed fishing, playing video games, and working on cars. He was a loved son, brother, father, uncle and friend.
Jeff was outrageous, louder than life, and had a spontaneous personality. He was a caring person and would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. He always rolled his own way and is probably laughing now because he died exactly like Elvis!
Jeff is survived by his children, Silver McKay, Orion McKay, Elle Tiwater, Odin Tiwater, Keira Tiwater; one granddaughter, Rayne; his mother, Rita Tiwater; his stepmother Vernie Tiwater; his brother, James “Rocky” Tiwater (Kimberly); four nephews; a niece; his half-brother Albert Strode; and friend Niccole McGaughey.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Arnold Tiwater.
A Celebration of Life potluck picnic is planned July 11, 2026, at the Centennial Park shelter (near the boat launch) at Howard Amon Park from 1-4pm.
