Judith Adrian Lyon, aged 89, of Spokane Valley, Washington, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026. Born on February 28, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Judith dedicated her life to her family and her professions including being a registered nurse, having pursued her education diligently while raising her three children. She returned to school and earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing, graduating with top honors, a testament to her commitment and determination. Judith enjoyed a rich tapestry of hobbies and interests that shaped her vibrant life. An avid quilter, seamstress, and cook, she deeply cherished the time spent creating and nurturing. Her love for reading and playing bridge with friends brought joy and connection into her life. Additionally, Judith partnered with her husband to publish a tugboat calendar, a venture that allowed them to travel extensively and share their passion for photography and the beauty of the world. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, Patricia Lyon, Kelley Lyon, and Stephen Lyon; her grandchildren, Brittany Savage, Matthew Lyon, Christina Wayman, Jason Wayman, and Melissa Wayman-Vowels; as well as her great-granddaughters, Toko Gazaway, Karysma Savage, Amara Savage, and Jordyn Savage; and great-grandsons, Caro Lyon and Jaxson Savage. Judith’s family remembers her as a beloved matriarch who enriched their lives with her creativity, kindness, and spirit. A graveside service will be held in her honor on July 18, 2026, at 1:00 PM, followed by her interment at Sunset Gardens Cemetery at 915 Bypass Highway, Richland, Washington. Judith Adrian Lyon will be dearly missed, yet her memory will continue to inspire all those who knew and loved her. Judith was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years Matthew Lyon and parents.
