Judith Hartley
Judith Hartley went home to heaven July 8, 2026. She had become wheelchair bound last fall and battled several medical problems since. She passed peacefully, surrounded by family who loved her, at Hospice House in Kennewick, Washington.
Judith Joann was born August 14, 1943 in Lodi, CA to Wesley and Emma Lucille Nathan. She was the middle of a trio of sisters. She spent most of her years growing up along the Oregon coast. Her father was an Open Bible Minister and church planted along the Coast.
Judi settled in Medford, Oregon and married Ronnie Williams with whom she had two daughters. She was widowed at age 33. She raised her girls in Oregon and sent one to Bible College in California where she married and stayed. The other daughter went to Bible College in Washington where she married and stayed.
Later she would marry her dear friend, Robert Hartley, and spend the next 25 yrs. before being widowed again in 2024. They enjoyed retirement and filled their home with foster children and their spare time with their craft and antique booth.
She leaves behind two daughters Angela & (David) Decker-Nathanael; Ronica & (Mike) Bishop-William & (Gina)-Jane, Christian, Emily Odine , Michael & (Heidi)-Charlie, John & (Taylor), Judah, Kevin, Gideon, Magnolia, and Abigail. As well as her sister Jean Lohr, cousin Mary Ann Shelton-and all of their beloved children and grands, niece Anita Caster and nephew Scott Hunter.
Also preceded in death by her parents, sister Dian, niece Joyce and great grandson Bruce.
One of her greatest joys was being a grandmother. She poured into each of the kids and was always pointing them to Jesus.
If there were two lessons Judi taught those who knew and loved her, they were these: first, to worship through every season of life. There was always a song on her lips. Life was not always easy, but she chose to praise God through both the joys and the hardships.
Second, she taught the importance of simply showing up. Judi was always there for others—with a thoughtful card in the mail, a phone call to check in, a batch of homemade cookies, or faithful prayers. She had a remarkable way of making people feel seen, loved, and cared for, and her quiet acts of kindness left a lasting impact on everyone blessed to know her.
Memorial will be held on Monday, August 17, 2026 @ 10am at
